Seaweek – Kaupapa Moana is New Zealand’s annual week celebrating the sea.
The theme for this year is ‘Connecting with our Seas, Toi Moana – Toi Tangata’.
Seaweek’s mission is to connect all New Zealander’s to the sea and to inspire people of all ages to get to know our ocean and its’ inhabitants better.
Join us on Sundays 7 and 14 March for two special Seaweek editions of Family Art Toi Mā Te Whānau. In these sessions tamariki get creative with moana-themed art activities that are fun for all ages. Come get curious about our moana and make some art inspired by all the amazing creatures who call our moana home.
Family Art Toi Mā Te Whānau is on every Sunday from 10:30am until 12:30pm.
The sessions serve up hands on art-making activities in a casual drop in format, which the whole family can join in on.
All materials are provided and the events are free for all visitors.
