After a stroke and no memories from his past, Phil encounters Millie who inhabits a desert part of Isle of Lewis. She will shortly entrust him with his deepest secret: they were in love.

Memories tell us the story of who we are. If those memories vanish, whose stories will take their place?

On a wind-swept Scottish isle, weather-worn Belgian farmhand Phil (writer-director Bouli Lanners) suffers a stroke, losing all memories of his past. Shy but resourceful, Millie (Game of Thrones’ Michelle Fairley) comes to his rescue, serving as keeper of his health and of his memories. She soon reveals their shared secret—the two are clandestinely in love. As she reconstructs their memories and life together for him, it becomes clear that all might not be as it seems (or as she says).

Lanners and Fairley shine in this powerfully understated romantic drama about the deep connection between memory and longing.
