Sing Your Heart Out is a bittersweet documentary musical about an unusual choir in Hackney - it is a choir for people dealing with depression.

It turns out that singing in a choir may be an effective form of psychotherapy. A group of depressed Londoners from various social backgrounds, meet regularly to sing out their frustration, fear and trauma under the supervision of a charismatic jazz vocalist from New York. Fragments of these unique rehearsals are intertwined with the confessions of characters revealing very personal stories.

UK, 2014, 47 min., Rated Exempt, Dir. Péter Akar
