It's your Gallery, it's your party!
The summer holidays may be done, but the fun isn’t over in New Plymouth. We’re breaking out of the Gallery, taking over the street, and bringing out the art with a summer street party to celebrate 50 years of Govett-Brewster!
5 Artists, 5 Decades, Artists roundtable:
1:30 PM - 2:30 PM
Join us as we host a roundtable and community discussion with five artists from the Govett-Brewster’s collection.
On occasion of the current exhibition, Ruth Buchanan 'The scene in which I find myself/Or, where does my body belong?' we talk to five artists;
Each artist collected from one of the five decades the gallery has been open. Hanahiva Rose, Assistant Curator of Contemporary Art, will ask the artists how they respond to the questions and challenges raised by Buchanan’s exhibition and the practice of collecting, before opening the conversation to questions and comments from the audience.
