When you think of our world’s continents, would you include an ocean as a continent?

Editor-in-Chief of The Pantograph Punch and author Lana Lopesi will explore how globalising technologies and the adaptability of Moana peoples are now turning the ocean back into the unifying continent that it once was. Lopesi shares the research behind her recent book False Divides looking at how imperialism in the Moana (Oceania) created false divides between islands and separated their people.

The Monica Brewster Evenings in association with Govett Quilliam – The Lawyers bring an impressive array of national and international artists and cultural thinkers to New Plymouth. For a different kind of night out, join us for talks, presentations and performances in a casual and intimate atmosphere.
