Join musician and visual artist Phil Dadson in conversation with director of Te Uru Waitākere Contemporary Gallery Andrew Clifford following the screening Pacific 3-2-1-Zero.

Directed by Gregor Nicholas, this award-winning film documents a powerful anti-nuclear protest work by the internationally acclaimed New Zealand performance group, From Scratch. Shown on occasion of the current exhibition Len Lye: Atomic Power, this From Scratch composition is a demonstration against American, French and British nuclear testing and waste dumping in the Pacific.

Phil Dadson is a visual artist and musician with a transdisciplinary practice including moving image, sound arts, building and performing with experimental musical instruments, sound sculptures, digital media, music compositions, graphic scores and drawings. Dadson is the founder/composer/performer of the legendary NZ music/performance group, From Scratch (1974-ongoing).

Andrew Clifford, director of Te Uru Waitākere Contemporary Gallery in West Auckland, has curatorial interests that follow the worlds of contemporary art, performance, new media, and music, notably with his 2018 touring exhibition, From Scratch: 546 Moons.
