Join Len Lye curator Paul Brobbel for a talk about recent Len Lye Foundation activities overseas, including insights on the new exhibition of Lye's work at Museum Tinguely in Basel, Switzerland.

Len Lye curator Paul Brobbel will discuss the recent exhibition of Len Lye’s work at Museum Tinguely in Basel, Switzerland. Like the Govett-Brewster, Museum Tinguely is a rare example of a museum committed to the permanent exhibition of works by a kinetic artist.

The home of Swiss sculptor Jean Tinguely (1925 - 1991), Museum Tinguely welcomed Len Lye into their programme and produced largest exhibition of Lye’s work presented in the Northern Hemisphere. The exhibition included sculptures and film not previously exhibited, marking the collaboration a landmark moment for the world of Len Lye.

Paul will lead us through the connections between Jean Tinguely, the development of the Motion Composer exhibition in Basel and what the exhibition means for Len Lye in New Plymouth.
