The Govett-Brewster Art Gallery/Len Lye Centre is pleased to announce an open call for three professional artists, to take up residencies within their own studios or homes.
The Gallery today launched its 2020 Artists in Residence Programme, supported by Creative New Zealand and NPDC.
The ‘In Residence’ project, will see three artists take up four-week residencies from their own studios or homes, in response to current conditions in New Zealand.
The opportunity is open to professional artists, at any stage in their career, who are based in New Zealand.
Three artists will be selected from an open call, judged by a panel of Govett-Brewster curators.
They will be supported with curatorial dialogue, technical advice and funding to create artworks that will be presented by Govett-Brewster across digital platforms, over the next six months.
Completed applications are due in by 22 May 2020 at 5pm.
