Education Visits
Tākina e Koro Tamanui
Te kawa o te ora i te rangi
Nau mai e Kui Hineraumati
Ka pua pohutukawa me ngā rauriki
Oma kau ana te kāwitiwiti
Kitakita mai tātarakihi
Nā Te Ingo Ngaia tēnei pao raumati i whakahī
Tamanui (Tamanuiterā), the sun
Hineraumati, goddess of summer
Without Tamanuiterā there is no life
Pohutukawa bloom, vegetables sprout
Children run about and cicadas chirp
Summer is here
Composed by Te Ingo Ngaia, this pao acknowledges and celebrates summer.
