Unjustly accused of doping during a marathon, Goyo, a former free-water swimming champion, has given up everything and taken refuge in the Argentine desert. Eight years later, he returns to Santa Fe to try to win back his title. One night, while driving, he hits Chino, a young pool swimmer who dreams of becoming part of the national team. A strange bond develops between the two men; they both decide to participate in the marathon.
