Made in Hong Kong: Colour, Chaos, and Contradictions explores Hong Kong’s iconic urban landscape through the lens of local and international moving image artists. Drawn from the M+ Collection, these short films illustrate the richness of Hong Kong’s visual culture, and how the moving image has fostered a collective visual identity of the city, through multiple and intersecting perspectives. Tracing the city’s transformation from the post-war decades to the present day, the programme highlights the city’s complexities and contradictions, while mirroring the dynamism of the city itself.
